Welcome to Lakeland University! This is book 1 in my new series, The Lakelend Bears, and follows Sutton Davis and Cooper Carmichael.

Plagued by the expectations of being captain of the Lakeland Bears and pressure to live up to his legendary last name, he’s falling out of love with the sport. Cooper uses overtraining and his sunshine disposition to mask his burnout till his Coach notices and volunteers him to work with a budding sports psychology student.

Helping Cooper fall in love with hockey again has Sutton second-guessing why she blames him for what happened to her and questioning her other dream: being loved, but more importantly, being loved by him.

Now needing each other, Sutton and Cooper must figure out how to skate around their decades-long past—a history marked by more animosity and yearning than friendliness because Cooper is holding on to more than one secret. And this one could change everything between them.
